We know that The Reserve is home to many dog-loving families, and as a pet owner, there’s nothing better than watching your furry little friend explore new terrain.

We’ve gathered a list of the best pet-friendly spots to visit - whether it’s a quick run around to let off steam or a few days camping with the whole household!

Parks and dog walks

Across the road beside Kalynda Chase Tennis Centre, residents of The Reserve can let their pups roam free at Mannikin Park. With two enclosed spaces, owners of small dogs can feel at ease using the exclusive small dog area.

Watch your furry friend play from the comfort of the shaded area or test your skills as a dynamic duo with the agility course!

Cook up a family barbeque at Kirwan Dog Park’s picnic facilities, while letting the dogs enjoy a good run around in the fenced off-leash area. With a dog agility course, pathway circuit, playground and fitness equipment, this is a great park to visit with the family.

Just a ten-minute drive from The Reserve, you'll find Riverside Dog Park located in Cranbrook. This ideal spot for your furry friends boasts ample shade and direct access to the river, perfect for a refreshing dip after an energetic play session. Whether your dog loves to run, socialise, or simply relax, Riverside Dog Park offers a delightful and safe environment for all.

Pet-friendly camping spots

When planning a weekend away, finding dog-friendly options can be tricky. Give the dog-sitter a weekend off and visit one of the following camping sites - each welcoming guests with dogs!

Pete's Lookout at the eastern foothills of Mt Stuart is only half an hour’s drive from home and offers gorgeous panoramic views.

Slightly further afield at Mount Elliot Park, find stunning wetlands under the backdrop of rugged mountains. With cascades, waterfalls and gum trees, visitors can expect to see a range of wildlife from birds to wallabies.

For those who prefer to stay close to home, Mam Easy Stay offers a great staycation option. Water-loving dogs can enjoy a splash in the creek, while the spacious campsite and plenty of greenspace will allow you to relax and return home feeling fully refreshed.
